Lisa Dawson’s connection to CapStar Financial began long before she joined the team. A client since December 2016, she brought that firsthand perspective with her when she came on board as an Operations Support Specialist in February 2025. In May 2026, she stepped into her current role as Client Relations, Event & Marketing Manager — a position that draws on the full breadth of a career built across three very different industries.

After college, Lisa made a deliberate and meaningful choice: to put parenting first. That decision shaped a career path that evolved on her own terms — one that allowed her to be present for her two daughters, Rylee Madison (Dawson) Brown and Patsy Ann Dawson, while still building remarkable professional depth along the way.

Her early career was rooted in sales and marketing at AT&T. She then transitioned into banking and finance, where she earned her Series 63 and 66 licenses (not currently held) and became licensed in Texas Life and Health Insurance — a license she continues to hold today. Later, she found her way into education, spending years as a high school educator at Lake Travis High School in Lakeway, TX — the very school where both of her daughters attended and graduated.

Now at CapStar Financial Services, LLC, Lisa channels that lifetime of experience into connecting people with knowledge and community. She leads the firm’s client outreach, events, and sponsorships, and manages both digital and traditional marketing. Her work includes coordinating client speaker events, continuing education programs, article distributions, and the firm’s ongoing educational workshops at Concordia University and other locations throughout Central Texas — covering topics such as Multigenerational Wealth Management, Legacy and Estate Planning, Investment Management, Tax-Efficient Strategies. She also serves as the firm’s liaison with partnering attorneys and tax accountants on estate and tax planning strategies.

Outside the office, Lisa enjoys reading, walking, and catching a good sporting event and or concert. Her favorite moments, though, are spent with Rylee and Zach Brown, Patsy Ann Dawson and her boyfriend, and her mother — a spirited 93-year-old who lives in Lumberton, TX, and for whom Lisa lovingly serves as caregiver.
